“For me, the best meals are the ones where everyone feels like they're part of something — sitting on a plastic stool, laughing with a stranger, and realizing that food is the fastest way to feel at home.” – Anthony Bourdain

Why Provecho?

More Than Just Tacos

In Mexico City, you don't just eat tacos — you experience them. At every street-side taco stand, someone will smile and say "Provecho," a simple phrase that means "enjoy your meal." But it's more than that. It's a gesture of warmth, connection, and community — a way of saying, "I hope you enjoy this moment as much as I do."

This isn't just about tacos — it's about the moments that food creates: strangers sharing a table, locals laughing over a late-night snack, and the feeling that you belong, even in a city you're just discovering. Provecho is my promise: Good food, better company, and an authentic connection to Mexico City's heart and soul.

Josh Laredo, founder of Provecho Taco Tours in Mexico City

Hi, I'm Josh — and I built Provecho for a reason.

I spent years designing luxury trips and helping SaaS clients hit their goals. On paper, it looked perfect — new destinations, big wins, happy clients. But what I loved most wasn't the numbers or the success stories. It was seeing people light up. Watching a trip, a team, or even a single moment connect in a way that actually meant something.

That's what pulled me to Mexico City. Not just the food (though, yeah — the tacos are insane), but the way this city moves. It's the smiles from strangers, the late-night conversations at a taco stand, the feeling that you belong even when you're far from home.

Provecho was my way of turning that into something I could share. It's not a business plan — it's a belief: that food and conversation still have the power to connect us. That a few hours around good company can do more for the soul than a year of meetings ever could.

How much does it cost?

Tours start at $79 USD per person. Private and custom tours are priced separately, reach out and we'll put something together.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Groups are small on purpose. Weekends fill up fast, a few days ahead is the safe move.

What's included?

All tacos, drinks along the way (mezcal or beer), water, and tips on where to come back on your own. You show up hungry, everything else is handled.
